What does uptime mean? Many big names simply use network availability as a measure of availability (i.e. if the machine responds to a ping, then it's considered "up"). However, a server that returns a ping test is not necessarily in any fit state to serve web pages, or deal with mail connections. So claims of 99.9999% uptime are pretty meaningless in the real world.
That's why we measure the "usability" of EACH network service individually, across mutliple servers, located all over the world, to ensure an honest and open status report is given to the public.
Realtime 15-Minute Server Load Average on Ziphost Alpha = 0.02 (we kid you not)

There was intermittent access to POP3, IMAP and Webmail today from around 11:50 until around 12:20hrs due to a failed upgrade script. The issue has now been resolved.
There is no other scheduled maintenance or downtime planned in the next 4 weeks.
