Acceptable Use Policy
Our acceptable use policy is actively enforced. It lays out the rules we expect our customers to follow. Most of it is common sense, and any bone fide business will never break any of these rules. If you are concerned, then please contact us.
General usage rules
You undertake and warrant to us that you will use the Web Site allocated to you only for lawful purposes. In particular, you represent, warrant and undertake to us that you will:
- not use the Server in any manner which infringes any law or regulation or which infringes the rights of any third party, nor will you authorise or permit any other person to do so.
- not upload any material which is unlawful, pornographic.
- not upload any material containing a virus or other hostile computer program.
- not upload any material which constitutes, or encourages the commission of, a criminal offence or which infringes any patent, trade mark, design right, copyright or any other intellectual property right or similar rights of any person which may subsist under the laws of any jurisdiction.
- not send bulk email whether opt-in or otherwise from our network. Nor will you promote a site hosted on our network using bulk email.
- not send SPAM! Any account found sending SPAM, phishing email or other suspiscious content will be suspended.
- not employ software which consumes excessive system resources, including but not limited to processor cycles and memory, which may affect our other customers.
- not host Chat/IRC, web proxy or mailing list scripts under any circumstances.
- not employ software which maintains open connections to our servers for constant uploading or downloading of material.
- ensure any file you store on the Server will be reachable via a hyperlink from a page on your site.
- not host media and software for general redistribution (warez, mp3s, shareware etc) unless you own the copyright to that content.
- not maintain more than one concurrent login to our servers or login un-necessarily frequently.
We reserve the right to remove any material that we deem inappropriate from your Web Site without notice to you. In extreme cases we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account.
Security and right to use
Only you or your employees are authorised to use your account. You must notify us immediately if you suspect that the security of your login details have been compromised. If we feel that the security of an account has been breeched we may:
- change your password and then notify you of this change
- suspend your ability to login to the services
- remove any files we feel have been modified or uploaded by unauthorised access
- terminate an account
